He was saying better things to come. New Covenant et all.

    You completely missed the point.

"Saying" with more wine for drunks?

    Was he tongue tied?

Personal interpretation of ancient superstitious tales repeated by uneducated first century old men is what makes religion so fascinating![:X]

"Saying" is correct. Jesus spoke many times in parables.
He said " I am the new wine".

    A new covenant.
he fulfilled the old covenant, in which man failed.

    I had it right.[;)]

I think it's safe to assume that he did drink the wine at the wedding.

Sounds like you could stand a drink or two yourself.
I think it's dangerous to assume.

OK, I think it was your intention to convey the impression with your first post that Jesus didn't drink wine. That got shot down and now your feelings are hurt. I assume you consider yourself the forums Biblical authority and don't like others stepping on your turf. Get over it.

Note: non-jews in Roman Palestine ate pork. There was a herd of 2,000 swine from Gadara handy, for Jesus to cast demons into. So the idea that desert regions are unsuitable for raising or eating pork doesn't hold water.

While there may have been side health benefits, such as avaiding trichinosis, the primary purpose for the Levitical food laws was to make the Hebrew nation stand apart. It must've sucked to keep yourself holy by keepiong hundreds of laws/rules. I'm glad all we Christians have to do is...give our hearts, souls, wealth, everything to Jesus.

Oh, and the O.T. Hebrews weren't told to "love their enemies." That one is HARD.

Figure Jesus was a Jew I guess he didn't/couldn't eat the swine. Maybe that's why he broke off the Jew Crew to dine on the swine.

The Jews at the time called Him "half Samaritan" as an insult.

    Of course you did.

So does every other believer of any other sect or religion.

    Just ask them.

Get over what exactly? If I conveyed the impression that I thought Jesus didn't drink wine, well I can blame that on my lack of communicating at your 3rd grade level. You're going to have to try a lot harder to hurt my feelings, especially since I value what your opinion of me is at less than zero. So, have at it.[:D]

Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

For some reason this is a very sensitive subject

I would just like to say that to each his own live and let live

commonsense tells us not to eat scavengers

ECC nothing God created to be received should be rejected for human perception

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believed and know the truth. I Timothy chapter 4 verse 3

I am really not wanting to argue but not all animals were created to be eaten by man but all animals are good for this earth even the scavengers serve a good purpose, to clean-up the earth, but not to be eaten by man

just my thoughts no offense to anyone

well seeing as how he was surrounded by jews most of the time, i don't imagine he would had many opportunities to do so. and he said what makes a man unclean is what comes out of his mouth, not what goes in it.
Ahhh, point of fact is that Jesus was a Jew.

It is kinda funny that some you so called Believers can't even get on the same page if Jesus ate pork and got blitzed on wine or not[:p]. The TRUTH is NOBODY alive today really knows if he did or not--none of us were there. The Bible was not written by him so who knows if the verses/stories/fables what have you are the truth or fabrications. Guess thats why they call it faith though.

No one with any sense has asked the first question, and you are wrong on the second part.

The third statement is incorrect, as well.

    Faulty premise, faulty conclusion.
In fact, I believe that all us "so-called Believers" agree on all of this.
