How many rounds of ammo do you have in stock?

I know some may not want to share this bit of info, but maybe some of us won't mind.

I have the most ammo at one time that I have ever had. I am SURE it is not even a drop in the bucket compared to what most of y'all have.

At this point, I have about 950 to 1000 rounds in my stash.

who are you and why do you want to know?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

If I don't have enough I needed a bigger gun to start with. Wait I might have stole that line from an ex-wife.

Not a drop is pretty close.

Depends on if you are counting .22 or not since 2 boxes of that is 1100 rds.....

For my target AR alone, just what is loaded in magazines I have 840rds......

I have a lot of ammo, but sill need more. Buy it whenever it is on sale or I get a good deal. If I get it now at a good price it will store well till I actually get a chance to use it.

Sorry ... but I got broken into about 3 minutes ago and every bit of the one weapon(s) that I previously owned were stolen by what appeared to be a couple of nunns dressed in hoodies driving a purple pimp mobile. Don't know which direction they went other than "that away".

So now I have nothing to report, sir.

if you want to store more, you need to apply to the fire marshal for the permit, and then be subject to an inspection that you are complying with the law. if you do all that, you are divided into two catagories; private and commercial. you can have:

    (2) Storage By Permit: In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c. 148 ? 13, the Board hereby prescribes the following quantities of explosive materials that shall be exempt from License, and Registration, and may be kept, or stored in a building or other structure provided a permit has been obtained from the head of the local fire department;

    (a) Small Arms Ammunition: Private Use. Small arms ammunition in amounts over that specified in 527 CMR 13.04(1), that do not exceed 100,000 total rounds at any one time, may be kept for private use provided none of the individual limitations listed below are exceeded.

    (f) Smokeless Propellants: Commercial Use

Not to exceed 100 pounds smokeless propellant.

    (g) Black Powder: Private Use

    1. Not to exceed five pounds of black powder.

    2. Persons under 18 years of age may not keep or store black powder.

    3. The head of the local fire department may limit the quantity of black powder stored by permit to as low as two pounds if such black powder shall be stored in a multiple family dwelling or a building of public access.

beyond that, i think you would need a license and the only license i can think of that would qualify would be am ffl of types 6,8,10, or 11; but thats just a guess. i dont know of a license specific to massachusetts that has to do with ammunition, so i can only imagine they mean an ffl.

Funny you should ask this question as just this week I was inventoring my stock of ammunition and find I probably have more than I can shoot before I die. I am going to make a concentrated effort this summer to reduce that supply to a managable amout. I know after I am gone it would only set in storage or be given away by my wife as I have no children that would use it. Better get started shooting, I can't take it with me.
