Showed up at gun auction I attended yesterday. He did not stay long. He had someone bidding for him. Appearently he is an avid gun collector. The second half of the auction is today, leaving in a couple hours.

Side note..... What was the rifle and caliber he used in Quigley Down Under ??

    Wasn't it a Sharps 45/70?

1874 Sharps with 34" barrel, cal .45/110 with paperpatched bullets.

The one in the movie was produced by Davide Pedersoli.
Shiloh also makes these "Quigley"-type rifles.

Quigley's comment about the rifle (in the movie):
    quote:It's a lever-action single shot, breech loader.
Usual barrel length is 30 inches. This one has an extra four.
It's converted to use a special forty-five caliber, hundred and ten grain metal cartridge, with a five-hundred forty grain paper patch bullet.
It's fitted with double set triggers, and a Vernier sight.
It's marked up to twelve-hundred yards. This one shoots a mite further.
