Was wondering if anyone knew anything about this Martial Art. Looks good. alot of self-defense against bg with guns. Anyone in Maryland take it?

I guess it was developed by the IDF. Looks prettty good from what I know about fighting styles. I was looking for a class here in Tucson, but I have had no luck.

You know Navy is better than Army
Actually my best friend was in the Army (N.B.C.) and my favorite brother is in the Navy so I am kinda split.

This is a very street orientated form of self-defense which my wife is certified to instruct. We have been teaching Tae Kwon Do for nearly 10 years and within the last year incorporated this style into our school. I enjoy the straightforward "take them out" attitude that the style teaches. You don't stop until they are no longer a threat. I have had my wife used it on me during a discussion on the new gun I need to buy...

I saw a blurp about it on the discovery channel "Top 10... FIghting Styles"

If anything, there should be havens for them out in California. Out of the 10 styles they depicted, only 2 had dojos outside of LA. One was Shaolin monks, the other was in Minnesota somewhere.

Trooperchin, I took Take Kwon Do in Silver Spring, outside of NW DC. Got a brown belt from it. There should be some out there. If I were you, visit ANY dojo and ask about tournaments. There, You should find just about everykind of style. There are quite a few in Gaithersburg, about 15 Miles outside of NW.

My gun is prettier than yours, and it's a Glock!

Make sure you take it from some place that actually teaches Krav Maga, and not just general martial arts fitness center where they say they incorporate it into other martial arts and aerobic fitness.

Thats old and not a complete list, I can see several places that I know of that are not on that list, including the training center I go to. But it should give you an idea. Looks like lots of places up araound Maryland.
