Bald Eagle Explodes

Was just on the eveniong news. Can't find a link. He seems to have touched two power lines at once. Not much left, knocked power out in the area.

It was near the Airport, they said it sounded like an explosion.

    Stupid Parrots on Palm Beach do it every spring.Keeps the back up generators tested at the Breakers tho..

    Grackles used to roost on some lines near a power plant I worked at. They would get so many on there that the phases would touch. It would kill a mess of them and trip the breaker. Took maintenance a while to figure out what was happening, I think the pile of dead birds was the giveaway.

    Last year when i went to Alaska they had allot of power outages from Eagles touching the lines. They had eagles like we have birds. They were everywhere.

    Not just birds, a co-worker almost lost his house to a grass
    fire started by a flaming cat falling from a power pole.
