Obama fought them for 8 years and after Trump took office in 12 to 14 months you do not hear anything about them anymore.

    They are still active. Between the US, Israelis, Russians, Turkey, Iraqi and Syrian forces they have been beat back into pockets.

    They are taking hostages and killing them every day.

    They have also dispersed into other country's like Oman and Yemen, also Afghanistan.

    You don't here much in the uS because its a 24/7 Trump bash.

    They are still there. It is an ideology. If beaten those that harbor it will just crawl into the rocks only to come out again when they are strong enough. It may have another name or other method of activation, but it will have the same purpose.

    Yes, ISIS is still there but for now a greatly reduced territory and almost no control over populace they can EXTORT for funding their cause.

    First map shows the territory gained / lost since 2015 until March 2018. Think their territory is now less.

    The money has dried up thus very few new recruits and new operations going on. The leaders are still spewing the ideology among a few remaining followers but keeping the money mostly to themselves....as leaders always do.
