Badminton has been an olympic sport for a few years now. This Olympic games dropped baseball and softball and added among other sports, (womans boxing). I will never understand their thinking on adding and rejecting sporting events.

I'm guessing that baseball and softball were eliminated because there are only a couple of countries that always dominate and other countries don't stand a chance. Just my opinion.

Competitive badminton bears only a faint resemblance to what you played with your Great Aunt Tilly in the back yard while waiting for the barbeque to get done. [:D] It is nothing but an unending series of high speed smashes. It reminds me a lot of competitive raquetball. You are either superfast or you are a loser. [:)]
