Is anyone else having a side bar opening with gun related searches, when viewing the forums. This stupid assed window keeps opening and shrinks the forum page to the right usually when I'm trying to click on a post. There's a white T in a gray box and the band is like 2 inches wide with a list of related searches. I x it out and it keeps coming back just as I'm about to click on a link. I'd post a picture of the page but my printer took a crap and its the only way I can send pictures to my computer. This is really pissing me off.

How the hell do you get a gun related virus??? If it wasn't so freaken irritating I'd leave it alone. Geezzzzzzzzzzzz this day couldn't get any worse.

Probably some kind of spyware that collects your information and online activity. Then sends you these ads based on that activity, hoping you will put your credit info in.

Firefox + Adblock Plus = no pop ups or annoying ads. [:D]

Found it, it was some program called Weblayers. Have no clue as to where it came from.

I have not seen a pop-up or a banner ad take over my Firefox browser in years. NoScript stops all JAVA Scripts from running unless you allow them to. It's an add-on to Firefox, and it flat out works.

Takes a little getting used to but pretty quick you develop the reflex action of allowing scripts from the original webpage, while blocking those from other places. You will be amazed how much crapola gets tagged on to web pages!

Oh, I don't even see the ads that GB itself runs, other than the auctions of course [:D]
