This was always my favorite cartoon. As usual, this one is as hilarious as all the others.

He no doubt cleaned up. Pay was not as much as these days ... but a dollar then was worth at least a $20 today!
Remember my Dad filling the fuel tank for $00.19/gallon!
cost me 93.00 to fill up today.

With some fuel in the tank when I refill the single tank on my truck, the change back is not enough to ger more than a single quart of oil ... I know ... done it like that !

Ole Foghorn and Daffy just showed us a picture of the Military/Industrial Complex.
Daffy was funding/monetarily benefiting from both sides of the fight.
I remember 25 cent gas and 19 cent bread. Milk was 75 cents for a gallon. Of course, minimum wage was a buck an hour and I worked a hard 40-hour week for 65 dollars after taxes.
The "relativity" argument lost it's merit years ago.
As to the OP... In my childhood, when the roadrunner came on, is when I would go get my breakfast. Too repetitive. If Wile E. had one every 20 or so times, might have been worth watching.
