    Obama was crying on TV today blaming everyone but himself and his crappy administration. Obama played Golf yesterday and Harry Reid sat on his butt and wouldn't put the Senate back to work> I blame it on Obama and I hope it kicks his administration in the *[:D][}:)]

    A Govenment shut down, will not shutdown government.

    In reality, key functions of the government will continue to operate as before even in the event of a "shut down".

    - Federal air traffic controllers will continue to monitor take offs and landings;

    - The TSA will still be screening passengers in US airports;

    - The US military will stay on duty and many credit unions and banks will cover their Oct. 15 paychecks if they are delayed;

    - Embassies and consulates overseas will continue to provide services to American citizens;

    - The mail will continue to be delivered;

    - Federal courts will continue to operate;

    - The US Supreme Court will continue to operate as normal when it resumes on October 7;

    - Taxes will continue to be collected;

    - Sales taxes will continue to be collected

    - Garbage will continue to be collected;

    - Visa services for people traveling to the United States will continue to operate;

    - US passport applications will continue to be processed normally;

    - Green card applications will continue to be processed normally;

    - Social Security and Medicare benefits will continue to operate normally;

    - The vast majority of Homeland Security employees will stay on the job;

    - The vast majority of Coast Guard employees will stay on the job;

    - The vast majority of Border Patrol agents will stay on the job;

    - The vast majority of Secret Service personnel and other law enforcement agents and officers will stay on the job;

    - Schools will stay open;

    - The National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center will continue to issue natural disaster warnings and track storms;

    - The Mars Rover will continue to explore the red planet and the International Space Station will continue to operate;

    - The District of Columbia passed a $144m contingency fund on Friday to ensure all its services would continue to operate normally;

    - Most services managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs will continue.

    However!
    The federally funded "panda cam" will be off line.[;)]

    This is on Congress and not yet the president. The Senate and house have not sent him anyting.

    At that point he will be the pin to approve or disapprove.

    The house has made a statement by passing a budget with strong politcal undertones.

    The world will still turn if they shut down, however this mess they pass of a budget will still be a lessened spending increase.

    Politics are a heap of fun.

    The media is stupid-[;)] NCIC(National Crime Information Center) is run buy the FBI and has other purpose's than just background checks for guns. I think NCIC will be open for business as usual.

    I keep asking that question too.
    Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
    Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
    Some will fall in love with life
    And drink it from a fountain
    That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    I find it idiotic on a level only attainable by government, that they shut down the revenue generating parts of the gov't like national parks and attractions, but keep the parasitic parts like foreign aid, obamaphones, and all the other useless wastes of money the gov;t does

    If you or I maxed out all our credit cards we could try to get more cards or get the limits raised. We could also cut our spending to match our outgo or even better yet start paying our debt down.
    It is long since past time to stop raising the debt limit & live within our means. No essential government services should even see any effect, just all the stupid giveaways.
