Not a terrible idea...cheap way to mount a light on one....and it let's you keep your pretty custom grips for the bbq.

Ivory is the only acceptable "upgrade" for 1911 grips. Ask Patton.

    I'll pass on the 1911

But the M92 is not too bad looking

    I totally misread the title.

I was going to say that a nice 1911 *is* a beretta upgrade.

    And like others, I'll pass.

Probably for other reasons than most:
To me, a flashlight on your pistol is a really good way to get shot in the dark.

And yes... I close one eye when I shoot. [;)]

I always thought the same thing a flash light on your gun
just makes you a target in the dark.

Your opinion might change if you work at night, and have to search buildings in the dark. The advantages out way the disadvantages IMO, especially if you have to manipulate door knobs and need use your off hand for other tasks. My work G21sf has a TLR-1 light on it at all times whether I am working days or nights.

The 1911 frame doohickey is fugly, the Beretta one is ok, I'd pass on either.

I see your point, I guess I think of it from a prowler's point of view. Two armed men in a dark warehouse I would wager the one with the light is at a great disadvantage.
