Shootout on AC Expressway

edited September 2016 in General Discussion
Was coming home from the office and could see all the swat trucks and state police, blocking the east bound lanes. I was heading west. Thought is was an accident or maybe a dignitary coming into AC international airport, as this is where they land because it is also a military base. Here is was a bunch of gang bangers, having a shootout on the expressway. One dead and four shot. The one truck had 21 bullet holes in it, according to the paper. That was enough excitement in our sleepy little shore town [:0]

When are our law enforcement folk and others, going to get this war on drug thing going and stop this plague of heroin stopped. This Heroin problem in our nation is a act of terror sponsored by foreigners who hate us and the war in Afghanistan has done nothing to stop production of Poppy.

What happens on the AC expressway is a microcosm of what is happening all across the nation. Mostly in cities like Atlantic City and other places.

If we are expected to not protect our families from the behavior of drug addicts. By draconian gun laws such as those in the northeast. How about some security from our government?

I've had a couple of LEO folks I know, that know a lot more about this than I do, and they think the Afgan-Iran heroin pipeline is purposely marketing full strength stuff to kill Americans. It's working...

I assume all involved are good boys on their way to start college so they can turn their lives around.

When I had a service contract with Jersey Transit if I was heading north my first stop was in Egg Harbor and my last Jersey City. Used to stay the night in Bordentown exit 7 off the turnpike cause I did not want to stay any farther north. I remember a decent gun shop there. Harry's maybe??

At present it appears to be the Fentanyl being cut with the heroin that is killing people.

Ricci, I bought a 1903, 32S&W Hand Ejector with Ivories for $125, a couple of Maruku 92s and a Charter Arms Police at Harry's about 25 years ago. Now and then there was a great buy. I waited too long on a Win 42-410 that went for peanuts.
They weren't too sharp on used gun values then.
AC was a dangerous place before and after casinos.
There was a nice fish eatery (Egg Harbor- Absecon?) just north on pier pilings with a zillion cats living under it.

Killing off your customers is not a very good business practice. But then the more hypes who die, the less drug sales there will be.

Well, since it's only those who use the drugs that die, what's the downside?

Though its true the usual suspects are on the news. What matters is what is behind the street level...

There are forces in the pipeline and even behind it. Mission is to destroy America from the inside. Heroin destroys youths and families of the youths. Our enemy supplies this insidious terrorist long acting bomb to destroy our very fabric of family life.

Amen Woody. It has destroyed parts of my own family. This chit is bad. Three nieces and a nephew, all ruined by this stuff in college and their lives, along with their parents lives, are RUINED. Totally destroyed financially, emotionally and all four lost their houses. Two are totally clean and two cannot get clean and will soon be dead. The sad part, all four were honor students and two were Medical students. The one that cleaned herself up, moved out of the area, finished college and started her own cafe in Pittsburgh. She is doing excellent. One is doing good and two, who knows. The destruction of the family unit is the worst part. They are just not the people we knew and loved.

Oakie, sorry to hear of your family situation. This is a scenario playing out across our great country. Its not just some hippy selling weed...

This heroin epidemic is a carefully planned terrorist attack to destroy our country from the inside. Our nations enemies place low cost or no cost poppy heroin to inner cities distributes. In turn these take the drugs to suburban kids with disposable money.

Once hooked these once great kids turn into monsters that destroy their friends and family.

Again asking. Why after all that has been done. What is allowing this to continue?

Harrys is still there, but no one goes in because of his, and his employees, Attitudes. Very sad. I bought a few guns from him. Cheyenne outfitters is now right next to him, and putting the final nail in his coffin, hopefully.[;)]
