I spent four years on this sub rescue, sadly it was scraped later.
I knew this tub so well when I got out the Navy paid me as a civilian to go teach them how to fuel it! It had been in the yards so long no one on board new how anything worked.

If you ever saw Gray lady down you know the drill.

Oh my Photo bucket is finally working again :)

Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

    Did you ever Google "Ortolan" ?..It is a bird that is cooked in its own shell and eaten by mostly the French.....BTW I am not dissing you as I have spent 4 years in the USN as a "Tin can sailor"" USS John A Bole DD 755. 1959-1963.
