Anyone have a load for the 6.5 Jap using 160grn cast bullets?

You might try searching for comparable loads, for the .260 Remington. As far as I know, the capacity/volume for both cartridges are similar. The load for one would put you in the ballpark for the other.
Given the strength and durability of the Arisaka Type 38 Japanese rifle. Any reduced velocity .260 Remington cast bullet load, would be a piece of cake.
IMR 3031 25Gr = 1800fps to 28GR = 2020fps
IMR 4895 27Gr = 1824fps to 28Gr = 2049fps
IMR 4064 28Gr = 1868fps to 31Gr = 2087fps
IMR 4320 29Gr = 1915fps to 32GR = 2123fps
H335 28Gr = 1805fps to 31Gr = 2070fps
The heaviest cast bullet, with gas check they list is 143 grain and the only powder listed for both bullets is IMR 4895 from 26Gr =1858fps to 32Gr = 2272fps
Hope this gives you some basis for calculating a starting load.
