stock question on fit .270 WSM./.243

hi guys,.. i'm thinking of restock my 700 Rem .243 an found a Remington Model 700 .270 WSM. stock, since the .243 is a short action, i'm wondering if the WSM is the same size as the 243 ? .. but not sure about how the fit will be.. anyone have a clue .. [?]
