Daisy BB-GUN help

Hi I have a daisy bb-gun that looks like a model 99 but its not, mine has a place for either a clip or to load it on the forend on the left side there is no model number stamped on the rifle.there is a slide botton that I think may be broke thats on the barrel next to the forend the forend has a half moon where this clip or something goes any help will be greatly appreciated

Can you measure the bore? Daisy made a 5 shot "Clip" fed 22 cal pellet rifle. The BB rifles are .177 Cal. That is an interesting variation on the 99.

EDIT: Could it be a Model 299? The info I find on this model indicates it was the precursor to the Model 499, and was the "first true Target BB rifle" (just don't tell that to my old Model 99).

Because the barrel on your BB gun is fixed, I'm thinking this is a 5 shot Model 299. I'm betting the Clip holds 5 BBs. The 499 is a single shot "muzzle loader". The Model 99, for the most part, had a 50 shot tube/barrel compo.

This "clip" loading appears to be a feature circa 1970. I'd don't have a source for these clips, but I will keep looking.

Thanks for your Help I can even find a picture of a 299 only a pop gun I wonder if there is any value?? Would you or any one know where I can get a clip for this gun Thanks Ed
