Savage 2400???

Hi,
I have a savage firearm, 12guage over a 308win. Of what I found I think it is a model 2400. But I cant find any information on it. I think it may have been made by a company named valmet for savage, but im not sure. If you could tell me anything about this firearm I would be thankfull.

    Yep, its a valmet. good guns, not sure on value, not worth as much a valmet though. search the for sale ads for value.

    Valmet was a noted Finnish firearms manufacturer. Your combination gun was also sold as a over and under rifle, ( Model 412 ). My reference notes that manufacture dates to the 1980's. The last guns were sold under the Tikka name in the early 90's, before manufacturing was transfered to a firm in Italy. It's now sold as the, ( 512-S ).
