Anybody familure with these, one just came in that is 'locked-up' (Bolt all the way to the rear)

    Very uncommon, only small numbers made just prior to W W II. Winchester had so many problems with them that they were recalled. They exchanged a Model 12 for a Model 40, no questions asked.

    I've run across very few over the years. Strangely they don't seem to have much of a following with Winchester collectors. Although made in much lessor quantities then some of the lever actions of the same era, collector interest/value not even close.
