Savage 114 baffle

While cleaning a 30-06 114 Savage that I have, I noticed that a piece on the bolt body next to the bolt handle was loose and could completely turn it and take it off. Went to my owners manual and looked up the part and Savage calls it a baffle. Attaches to the bolt body by a spring assisted ball that fits in a groove. Very, very small spring loaded ball. Looked at some other Savage rifles I own and looking at the exterior of the baffle this part sets deeply seated in the baffle, which allows the spring loaded ball to set much more deeply in the groove located in the bolt body. The one I am having issues with sets flush with the exterior of the baffle. Does anyone know how to tighten this so that the baffle will not turn and come off the bolt body?
