Browning .22 Short Autoloader

I have an opportunity to buy a Belgium Browning Auto Rifle in .22 Short caliber for $200. It looks great but has been refinished and reblued. The rear sight has a wheel adjustment. The checkering is fine and there is no damage other than the stock refinishing and rebluing, which looks well done. Would it be worth buying as a shooter at this price? How common are these in .22 short? Thank you for any replies.
