I was wondering why the 2" stainless models bring so much more than the 4 or 6 inch models? The last two I watched went for $3400 and $3900 respectively. I have one and almost let it go for $500. I bought it new in 90 and still have the receipt, box, manual etc. Its been shot around 50 times and carried like 6 times although it does show some cylinder rings. Too many people spinning the cylinder to hear it "click" I guess.

    Scarcity & investment.

When these guns were actually bought by folks who just wanted to shoot them, few bought those with a short barrel. It makes little sense, from the standpoint of a shooter, to buy a short barrel .357 revolver, when it really needs a 6" barrel to burn most of the powder. So, few 2" models were made & sold, & fewer still are NIB.
