Colt Magnum Carry - appx how many made?

I'm trying to find out more information on the Colt Magnum Carry - Colt's little 357 snubbie revolver, stainless, that was made in 1999 in limited numbers.
Approximately how many were made? There seems to be a "First Edition" series and not sure what that means exactly - and - approximately how many of them are out there? If the gun is a limited edition - how can one tell? Is it determined by serial number or is it stamped differently?
Any comments about this little snub are appreciated.
