Colt .45 Revolver Value?

Could anyone give me a ballpark value on a US Army Colt D.A.45 revolver? It has a 5-1/2" barrel with all the following stamped on it: Colt D.A.45; Colt FT FA Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT USA; Pattened Aug 5, 1884; June 5, 1900; & July 4, 1905 & United States Property RAC. The handle grip is a diamond design with the following stamped on the bottom: US Army Model 1909; NO. 30 over the numbers 319. It has a western style ammo belt & holster with it. The belt & holster have no US Army markings on them. Any help that anyone could provide would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks.

A 1909 Colt lists from about $1,800.00 in 100% condition, about $1,200.00 in 90% to $1,000.00 in 80%. I'm doing a bit of guess work as my Blue Book is a few years old. If your serial # is 30-319 you may be lucky it's still around. I checked the Springfield Research website - they list serial #s on alot of military guns - and if I'm reading correctly it shows gun # 30-318 was used for proof testing. Perhaps yours was similarly used.

Thank you so much, dsf. I will certainly have to check for more about the serial number. I was really surprised by that information.
    Thanks again.

I have a Colt 1909, SN 34637... Also the holster and belt (as you say - western style) with loops for 50 rounds. This was as my grandpa carried it back in the early 1900's in the Philippines. He was at LT in the Philippine Constabulary back in those days. I would love to see pics of your Colt.. and the holster/belt.

    Hi Jack,
I'm new to the board so I don't really know how to put pictures on here yet, however if it's O.K., I will be happy to email one to you.
