hi, i have a remington model 4 22s,22l,22lr with a bull barrel. date code pw (june of 1928 if i read correctly) ser # 343xxx. its in pretty good shape except someone cut about an 1/8 in from the bottom of the stock where it meets the receiver to slightly change the angle on the shoulder. everything is there and the rifle fires well. the wood is in good shape with no rust on metal. any one have a ball park figure of what this could be worth.

Some of us here would love to take a gander at giving you a value, but can't do so without some good clear, well lit, close up pictures. They are essential in an evaluation.

Does the barrel carry the same serial number on the barrel as on the action?
The barrel S/N should be located in front of the forend on the underside
    of the barrel.
If not, someone fitted another barrel from a target model.
