I will be selling a 1888 springfield with ram rod bayonet,, nice marking,, case colors,, form my grandfather,,,I have a guy that whats it want to be fair with the price thanks cdv

    Can you post pics? Trapdoor Springfields are one of my favorites but it's hard to evaluate one without good pictures.

    What's the serial number? Does it have a good, clear inspector's cartouche with the year? How much percentage of original bluing? How good are the case colors? How is the bore? Any repairs to the wood? Any pitting on the metal? Has it been sanded?

    Just too many details needed. Value can be mid 3 to low 4 figures.
