Was the Winchester Model 90 in 22 WRF ever made with a 23" round barrel? "Thanks"

    Yes.

I have them in my collection. Serial number will be very high if it left the factory as a round barrel, at least like maybe 800,000+.

Could also be a later replacement barrel on an earlier originally octagon rifle. A lower serial number, or a "mail order" (P in a circle in addition to the standard PW in a circle) proof mark would tell you this.

To add to what MG1890 said, here is a quote from Schwing's book about the round barrel 1890: "Since the Model 62 was introduced in 1932, round barrel Model 90s built prior to that date will have had the round barrel fitted at the factory as a replacement barrel." The polishing room records for the Model 1890 receivers show the year ending serial number 844278 for 1931, and 846022 for 1932.
