    I have one in .38 super, very nice pistol for the $$$. certainly not a Colt but still a good shooter.

    I'm with Mike, I've had one in 38 Super since they where first available, and I'm very happy with it. I use mine for mid caliber bowling pin matches and as a part time carry gun.
    Outside of general upkeep, the only thing I've done is install Wolf springs and replace the firing pin.

    I have one in 45acp in stainless about 5 years now with no issues.Yeah it ain't a Colt but it was a present from my kids and I love it .

    kinda hard to screw up the design but they would if they could but all the ones i know about still work OK

    My brother has one in 45ACP and loves it.
    He had a Colt 1911 in the military and says the Taurus is just
    as good. Says it has less jamming problems then the Colt.
