Goodmorning all.
I recently picked up what I at first thought was a mas bayonet at an antique shop. After some research, I think it might be a rare original FG42 bayonet. Overall length is 10.5" (26.7 cm). Has "gcy" stamped on the body and the rear or the two catches, the front catch has a "2" stamped on it. There is no knurling and there are 4 stakes holding the rear cap on. I know origionals are super rare and that a completw origional weapon sold at rock island backnin sept for close to 300k.
Any help on possible interest or possible value would be inmensly appreciated.

When I was still getting the Shotgun News. I remember big multi page adds, by one outfit in particular. That was selling all kinds of kraut repos.
Best get a hands-on by a pro, before retiring early. With all the money you get from selling the bayonet.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the necro-bump, but I still have this sitting around and was hoping maybe someone would be interested or had some sort of value suggestion.
Thanks in advance.

Best place to sell, would be on our auction. Uncommon W W II kraut stuff, has quite a following. You will have no problem, selling for big bucks. As long as it's the real McCoy, and not a repo.
