Could some one tell me what the major differences are between a Mossberg model 51M & a Mossberg model 151M 22LR Semi Auto Rifle.

The appear to be the same, but obviously I'm missing something. A little help would be appreciated.

Best Regards.

Dug out the Mossberg book. "The 151M was introduced in 1946, as an evolution of the pre-war 51M"

    1. Slimmer stock.

    2, New rear sight.

    3, Improved action.

4, New bolt and firing pin, were more sturdy and simpler.

5, Receiver machined for tip off scope mounts. No more tapped holes.
