I'm no Luger expert, but especially with the drum, that sounds a good price to me.

Hello you have answered most of the questions "ALL PARTS MATCHING" With holster and "SNAIL" drum magazine . The questions I need to ask is did you do a take down Some parts that should be matching you can only see when apart FIRING PIN and hold open as well as grips . Is the finish original or a refinish ? Again the inside parts of frame rails etc should NOT be blued but in the white.does the breach face of the front part of the toggle look OK ? Some times these break when machine pistol ammo was used. What is the bore like? Is the holster original or repro? does it come with correct small magazines? Is the snail drum original "worth $1000.00" if original ? I would say if all these questions have the RIGHT answer then without seeing and inspecting the rig the price would not be a steal but inline. NICE[:p][:p][:p] Would love to see pictures.Hello IWANNA nice looking picture BUT without up close detailed pictures I think the pistol in your picture is refinished and I don't see 2 digit serial on side plate and trigger and safety should be STRAW color Small mag is not IMHO correct for that vintage pistol. May be my monitor/computer.

I have a DWM rig that I value at $3,500 also so the price is reasonable. The high points I would check in addition to what has already been given, check the board stock for the proper Imperial proofmarks. Make sure the snail drum is BN marked (Bing was the only maker) as some non-functional reproductions exist.

Check that the holster leather has taken a "set" of the toggle checkering. This is a difficult detail to fake and often overlooked by fakers using new holsters.

If at all possible, get ahold of a copy of Jan Still's IMPERIAL LUGERS and review it. It contains the weapon, stocks, holsters, and snail drums.

The small mag shown in my pic is definately aftermarket. I really need to get the guy a good book on lugers so we can ID this one completely/properly, put a fair price on it, and move it...
