I have win mod 70 in 270 cal. with a plastic stock and no floor plate I would like to dress it up by getting a wooden stock with the floor plate. Can this be done, and is it costly?

Thanks Mike

yes & yes. finding the magazine & trigger gaurd parts will be hard as the m-70 is no longer made.

Try Ebay. There are several stocks on there now. You can also look at the other parts there. But as you are aware there are several questions about the stock that have to be answered. Do you have:
    1. Standard of featherweight
    2. Pre-64 or post-64
    3. Barrel chanel size
    4. Model 70 or Model 70 Super Grade
If you don't know, post a few pictures. A clean, original one will not be cheap.

Thanks for helping me. I bought this gun at auction for $200.00
they said it was 3 to 4yrs old. a man told me that it was the lowest grade win makes. It has a matte finish and it looks like the trigger gaurd is painted not blued. I'm not sure how to send pics because I'm computer stupid.

    Thanks Mike
