Winchester 97 riot gun

I just purchased a 97 Winchester shotgun. It was listed as a riot gun with a cylinder choke. It was missing a forearm and I got it at a ok price. 285 plus 50 shipping. I ordered a forearm for it and it arrived before the gun. Well upon looking it over it is a gun marked full choke with a cut off barrel. The seller says it is cylinder choke. How bad did I get took?

You might check the completed auctions on the GB site. To see if any 97's have been sold recently. Perhaps this would help you get a ball-park value for yours.

We would need quality photos for a accurate assessment of value. Instructions on posting photos to the forum at this link.
