American 50 Model 94

I have a NIB, which appears to be a model 94, with a certificate saying it is an American 50 rifle. The gun bears New Mexico logo and is engraved. The certificate is marked 1965. Does anyone know what this gun is?

The issue celebrated the 50 states, another commemorative gimmick to sell more USRA rifles with an up charge. Probably two markets, collectors of the 50 or New Mexican gun collectors.

I think that it would be best if you could post photos of your rifle. Be sure some are close enough that we can read the certificate, the manufacturer's name stamped on the rifle, & the BOX END LABEL.

Might be having a senior moment? Can't find a "American 50" commemorative listed, in either the Winchester commemorative section of the Blue Book? Or doing a GOOGLE search.

Take Neal's advice. Give us all the data from the box, and all the markings on the rifle.

Don't think it was a "WINCHESTER" comm. Maybe "America Remembers"
