The trap stocks have a Monte Carlo style stock and some even had a rollover cheek piece. Since these are added on, I doubt you could realistically make one. You might buy one and replace it.

I would just shoot trap with it like it is, I have a field grade 1100 that I shoot, I just bought a trap barrel for mine, but even that wouldn't necessarily be needed if you shoot the gun well now.

    I fully agree w/ BOLTactionMAN,
All you need is a full choke barrel and sometimes that is not
even necessary. If you want a trap stock, buy one. Trying to
alter the one you have is not worth the time.

If you are just starting, use what you have. If you really enjoy it you can buy a gun just for trap, later. Generally trap guns have a taperd rib to cause the gun to shoot high, because the clay targets are rising. Also a straight stock is generally found on trap guns with the top of the stock being parallel with the rib. Then when the gun is sighted either up or down the eye is in line with the rib.
Trap is very fun and if you do it a lot you will likely get a trap gun at a later time.

THANKS A LOT GUY'S, I'll take your advice, some of the guys at the trap range have let me shoot their trap guns, some of them kick me pretty good and others don't. I am going to stick with my Rem for now, untill I can save up some money and can find a deal on a used one. I'm 65 years old on fixed income, so it may be a while.
But again thanks a lot for the info.
