Bushmaster Manufacture Date

Friend has a pre ban. Called Bushmaster to confirm but they don't have records from the Wyndham days. For the states who require pre ban guns is there a way to get confirmation.

    I would try calling Wyndham Weaponry, as they are the ones who purchased the plant, and production machinery. Perhaps the old records went with those too.

    When firearms manufacturers go out of business. They are required to forward all their business records to the BATF. Don't know if there is any procedure? About querying the BATF, about the DOM of a specific firearm though?

    I would consider, going to one of the AR specific forums on the net. Some have individual boards, for a specific manufacturer. Bushmaster started in business in the 70's. They were one of the earliest manufacturers of AR's. More than likely, you could see if any of the Bushmaster fanboys could help you as far as DOM, is concerned.
