what kind if a stamp is that ?
The photo's are not large, or clear enough to be able to tell if that is a factory pattern. I would get ahold of the museum at Cody, to get that letter.

With the full serial number, or perhaps "XX"ing out the last two digits, if you feel you need to for security purposes, we can tell you to the month it was made. With the full serial, Bert H, can tell you to the exact day, and other tidbits, like if that is factory engraving.
The K stamp looks bubba to me.
added No clue what it is or what it stands for, perhaps an owner's initial. Having stamped firearms and other items in the past the stamp looks like it was pieced together or double struck aka bubba work.
