llama 45

What's the difference between the Colt 45 1911 and the Llama version? Other than the price, that is. Do they stack up to the Colt in terms of reliability and accuracy and so on?

I know I sound like a kid in a candystore with no money but I'd really like to know.

hey guys, i have a large frame 1911 style llama, and i cannot find the model on it. does anyone know if any style 1911 grips will fit on it? thanks

I got a llama full size 45 before I new I should of got something better. Can I get a slide for it in stainless

No, 1911 grips won't fit the Llama version. I have 2 of the Llama 45s and the holes are not in the same place as a Colt 1911.

thanks, is there a source out there to get grips? and maybe another mag?

Midway has magazines for several of the Llama 45s made by Pro-Mag. If you will post a picture, someone can probably identify which model you have if it is not marked on the slide. Vintage Gun Grips has grips for some model Llama 45s.

ajax makes wood & polymer grips for the Llamas--I'm thinking of getting these "ivory" ones for the 9mm I bought this weekend.
