COL

I have recently returned to reloading handgun rounds after about 30 years. I used my calipers to check COL to verify they didn't exceed the max. My question is; what about being too short? These are rounds for a revolver,so I know this COL isn't as critical. The bullets are cast 158gr SWC and my crimp is just above the top lube ring. Does this sound about right?
Thanks for any and all help!
