What weaver rail do I need?

The day has come due to aged eyes that I must mount a scope on my trusty Lyman Great Plains Rifle. I cannot see the iron sites anymore. Dang! I know it's gonna look stupid but what can I do. I want a base to take Weaver rings. What bases are flat on the bottom? I don't have a store handy to look at them so I will mail order what I need, then take to gun smith to drill and tap the barrel. Barrel is 15/16" across the flats. Thanks for any help or comment.
