Are this revolvers well made to withstand many years of use? Of course not abuse but normal use. Are the Hamden sentinel revolvers the best made? Which models are made entirely of steel?

The alloy frame Sentinel's were descent well made revolvers, as long as you don't abuse them they will stand up.

High Standard started making the steel frame versions in the mid 70's. This was prior to their move to East Hartford in 1977. The steel frame Sentinels identified as the "Mark I" & "Mark IV", were made in Hamden. If you run across a steel frame Sentinel without a Roman Numeral marking it probably was made in East Hartford.
