In another post about a 1894 it was mentioned the first number will look like an "L"; on my 1892 it does look like an "L" is this actually a "1"? For reference the serial number was "156225" OR "L56225", If this is a "1" compared to an "L".
Also is there a good place on line to find disassembly, cleaning and restoration tips on a Winchester 1892?
Thanks

I am not aware of an "on line" source for disassembly and restoration tips.

Firearms Assembly I - The NRA Guidebook to Shoulder Arms: It includes 19 Winchester models including Models 1873, 1885, 1886, 1892, and 1894.
Firearms Assembly II - The NRA Guidebook to Handguns: It includes percussion, cartridge, and some air and gas powered guns.
Also, the Encyclopedia of Modern Firearms Parts & Assembly Vol. 1 by Bob Brownell is a great book, but the earliest lever Winchester it documents is the Model 94.
