Jaming 380 (update)

Well after cleaning, polishing and oiling my pony. I tried shooting it and it started jamming on every shot. So I ordered a barrel and bushing, installed it and test fired it again. The new parts fixed the problem, it shoots like a dream now. Thanks to all who responded to my question.

Thanks,
Bryan

Hello dirty and lack of oil on sliding parts .Remember the chamber is bigger then the bore.the chamber needs to be clean. some chambers are rough and dont like certain brands of ammo "steel or aluminum cases" try some different ammo.

Short, locked breech autos commonly have feeding problems due to feed ramp angles becoming more vertical than on longer pistols during the chambering cycle. Slides need greater force to push cartridges up steeper ramps into the chamber.
Ramps, chamber tops and breech faces need machining marks to be removed and be polished bright on short pistols in order to reduce friction in chambering. Even with polishing, some pistols will hang up in feeding hollow point ammo after a few shots smoke up these surfaces.
Bullet nose shape dictates how easy it goes up the ramp. Large open point bullets may want to dig in and jam on any surface roughness, including smoke residue, on the ramp and top of the chamber where FMJs will feed well.
The strongest slide spring consistent with reliable ejection and slide stop operation should be used.

Ok, I cleaned, polished the bore and oiled it. As soon as I can get to the range(hopefully Wednesday). I will post as to what happened.
