Pinning a Mizzle Break

The post by Cobra prompted this post. I also am interested in an 11 1/2" AR upper. I don't want to weld a muzzle break and know they can be pinned. I pin concentric tubes in my designs at work when the wall thickness doesn't allow things like set screws & etc.
What I do is drill a hole perpendicular to the axis of the tubes right on their axial seam. I usually use a roll pin because a dowel pin requires a much more accurate (and expensive) hole tolerance.
My problem is this pin isn't permenate. Perhaps I don't understand how a break is permenately pinned.
Please clue me in guys,

It's too late for me, save yourself.

Silver solder can usually be reversed without ruining anything.
