HEY GUYS! Just picked up a model 1900 I am restoring back to a quail gun. No show gun. Damascus barrels 16ga. short chamber 28" choked RH. .284 and LH. .295. XKEDY for damascus steel. Ser. #386351. so kind of a late model. I have several short chamber guns (my faverate L.C.Smith 20Ga. Family owned since new 1915) which I use RST shells. I have never had a damascus barrel gun. The gun is tight and has a clean smoth bore. Can i shoot the RST's in this gun or do i have to load black powder shells? And also with this ser. # can anyone tell about what year this gun was built? I know this is not a direct answer but You can have the barrels lined with thin wall 20 GA. tubes and then shoot any 20 Ga. shell you want.
