I have owned the CW9 and K40 both are very reliable. It comes down to what you like personally. I felt the steel frame managed recoil better.

By all accounts, they're good reliable pistols, somewhat comparable to Glocks in action, only a bit more ergonomic.
Neither frame is "better", they're different for different purposes.
The steel framed gun is heavier, and the polymer framed gun is lighter.
The lighter gun has more recoil, but is more pleasant to carry (eg concealed). The heavier gun has less recoil, but is a little less pleasant to carry (ie it makes a better service-type gun).
With Kahr, its worth mentioning that the Kahr firearms company is wholly owned by the Reunification Church, ie the "Moonies" cult. The founder and CEO of Kahr Arms, Justin Moon, is actually the son of the "Moonies" founder, Sun Myung Moon.
For this reason, many individuals refuse to purchase Kahr guns.
The all metal Kahrs enjoy a very good reputation for reliability, especially the original model, the K9. The Polymer framed pistol have not enjoyed the same high reliability reputation, based on the thousands of forum comments and my personal experience. I've had four Kahr, two metal and two polymer. One polymer gave me some feed and ejection problems.
Kahrs offer excellent accuracy, very slim profiles and the simplist manual of arms possible...just pull the trigger. The triggers are smooth but long. I personal like the triggers. With the advent of the CW line the prices have lowered to a moderate level.
If you intend to carry the gun, then the CW9 is a good place to start. Very lighteight and perfect for concealment. If you are after a range gun the larger heavier T9 is a jewel. Kahr gives you a choice of caliber in 9mm, .40 and .45. Something there for everyone.
Well its a legit question...discounts on any gun is worth contemplating a philosophical/spiritual change in position
Waht's a moonie? and do I get a discount on the Kahr line of pistols if I become one?

I converted and got this one for $500. Now I have a nice gun and can juggle snakes.
Just for the record; only an insecure bigot would mention Kahr and Moonies in the same breath. Has nothing to do with guns and ammo.
I'm not going to get into a diatribe about the Moonies nor will I respond to your invective.
I'll just repeat my earlier point that when you buy a Kahr pistol, all the profits go to the Moonies, since Kahr arms is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reunification church.
If you are familiar with that organization, you MIGHT have a problem supporting it with your dollars. You might not. That's up to you.
Feel free to buy as many Kahr arms as you like; nobody said you couldn't.

Can you name ANY other firearms manufacturer that is entirely owned as a corporate entity by a religious organization (let alone one as "controversial" as the "Moonies")?
When you can, you might have a point.
If the Catholic church owned a gun company, then sure, that would be worth mentioning. As far as I know, it doesn't. Neither do the Latter Day Saints, etc.
Meanwhile, Smith and Wesson, for example, is a publically owned and traded company. Anyone who wants to "own" it, can do so simply by purchasing the stock shares on the open market. Ditto for Ruger.

Taking the second part first, I doubt it, but you can contact them and ask, if you like. [;)] "Official" Reunification church armed guards *do* carry Kahr pistols, for whatever that's worth.
To answer the first part, here are a few references on the Reunification Church that you could use to learn more, if you care to do so:
This is from the Church itself:

These are from critics of the Church:

There is tons written on this organization, feel free to check it out for yourself if you are interested.
I guess I'm just one of them non-ethnic redneck bigoted southerners cuz I'd like to know if I was contemplating buying from a firearms company that is owned by say...the PLO? or Hamas? or Hezbollah or any other Islamic organization....I'm comfortable with being a bigot in that circumstance...after all its still kind of a free country..maybe...
