Savage 30, Stevens 77 or Springfield 67 models are similar or the same weapon! I got the the shotgun in a basket, I have a diagram of the weapon and am having trouble getting it to feed right. The cartridge stop block the shell when the handle is pulled back and open when the handle is forward, this is suspect. The other problem I have is that the plastic piece on the receiver end of the magazine that fits into the receiver seems to stop the progress of the shell, I don't want to change the size of the inside diameter of this piece until I am sure that there is not another problem. Any help with this shotgun appreceated.

Thank, you

Emmett

I found the problem with the feeding system, the shell rest on the bolt out side of the magazine and the cartridge stop is for the next shell so it will not spill into the receiver while loading the shell in the magazine, I could not get the concept. The bushing was the problem it was holding the shell in the magazine and would not let the next out and contact the notch on the bolt which stops the shell to be racked into the chamber. I took a small amount of material off the bushing until the shells slipped out and into the chamber.

    Thanks for looking!
