Winchester 190 Shroud

Bought the gun on the action side and cleaned it up. It was way overdue. Anyway, it is missing the barrel shroud and I would like to buy the correct style. One shroud has a V near the rear sight and the other surrounds the rear sight. SN is B133449xx.

DOM?

I am aware that this rifle is far from being Winchester's better models.

Thanks,

Jim

I've only seen the stamped steel barrel collar cover. I think that you have to R&R the rear sight.

Be careful, the barrel is pressed fit into the receiver.

If the rear sight dovetail is 2 1/2" ahead of the receiver you would need the type of collar cover that has the dovetail hole in it.

If the rear sight dovetail is 3 1/4" ahead of the receiver you would need the collar cover that has the 'V' cut out at the front end.
(didn't find this one on GB)

From a little research it looks like there is a third type of cover also that is plastic and has the front sight dovetail as part of the cover.
