Three Screw Super Blackhawk

I found a three screw Super Blackhawk at my local gun shop. The barrel is shorter than the 7 1/2 and it is not a flat top. The serial number is 14xxx. The part I find strange is that it has the round trigger guard. Did Ruger make a Three screw Super Blackhawk with the round trigger guard and sight wings?

Serial number dates to 1964. I think the sight wings are correct. Not sure about the trigger guard.

According to This article about 600 Super Blackhawks were produced with 6 1/2 barrels.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

The only round guard short barrel Super Blackhawks I have seen were New Models.
But I have seen assorted Old Models remodeled with shortened barrels and Blackhawk grip frames.

Ruger never made an old model Flattop Super Blackhawk. They made the Flattop in the Blackhawk series only. Lots of folks did not like that squared back trigger guard on the SBH(truthfully, they tend to be a bit bitey on the middle finger), and swapped out the grip frames for one with a rounded trigger guard.
