W W II, Victory Model Grips.

Got a real nice, British proofed Victory Model today. Still chambered for 38 S & W. Barrel, Frame and Cylinder, have same S.N.. Grips have been replaced, with post war "K" frame grips.

Where would be the best place to acquire? Either original or repo S & W, plain Walnut grips. That were used on the Victory Models.

Tried GOOGLEing. All I get, is links to the currently produced Victory Model 22 pistol. That Smith started making, couple years ago.

Take offs at gunshow tables or perhaps other public auction place (see them there often), place a want ad in the forum. The ones I recall were plain should be easy to make.

They are plentiful on Ebay. Search for "S&W grips."

Thanks to all who responded. GPC advertises the grips, at what seems a fair price. They are sold, without a screw or estcutcheons though. Not sure the later produced, S & W grips now on it. Screw and escutcheons, will work with the old Victory model grips?
