FN 49 Scope Base

I just picked up a modern made copy of the original side mount to use on my Egyptian made FN 49 - rifle has the side dovetail and center swivel, nice "no muddy brown Italian" stock. The mount has three set screws to help hold, but I'd like to be certain everything stays put. Short of soldering, any suggestion with no permanent alterations to the gun?

The screws in the side of the base are meant to press against the bottom of the receiver dovetail thereby locking? the two in place via friction fit.

A bit of Loctite on the threads and tightening the screws would be sufficient.

I'm hoping a tight rail fit, the screws and red loctite will do it. I don't want to peen or stake anything in place. I'm surprised pinning such as G & H did with their mounts isn't common.
